MY SEVEN DAY WEATHER THOUGHTS
AND MY 7 DAY FORECAST CONFIDENCE …
Clouds have, as predicted, increased a bit along with increased low level moisture with a partly cloudy sky in general with above average temperatures continuing through the rest of the week.
If you’re traveling for the holidays, it looks like a partly to mostly cloudy sky and unseasonably warm temperatures for much of the state of Texas as well for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Given the lack of any forecast rainfall and dormant winter vegetation, we will see a bit of an uptick in wildfire danger as southerly winds pick up later this week particularly on Thursday as well as Saturday.
Longer range guidance, beginning next Sunday and continuing beyond the seven day forecast period, is still being consistent is suggesting a cold front midday into early afternoon Sunday with much cooler temperatures and more in the way of cloudiness and a slightly more unsettled weather pattern by early next week. I’ll caution you, though, that this cooling trend looks only to cool temperatures CLOSER to what they should be this time of year and any rain chances beyond the seven day period still look to be very minimal (if any at all). I’ll continue to monitor at this as we look at the period around the New Years Eve and New Years Day.
I will be taking off from updating this forecast on Christmas Day.. my next update will be on Friday. Happy holidays everyone!!!!
MY LOCAL FORECAST CONFIDENCE FOR THIS SEVEN DAY FORECAST PERIOD …
A very high confidence forecast.
